Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 September 2026This page explains what MCBanners (minecraftbanners.net) stores about you and why. We keep it short because we keep very little.
Visitors
Browsing the gallery and using the banner maker needs no account. A banner you build in the editor lives in its share link; nothing is stored on our side until you share it. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Members
When you create an account we store:
- Your username, email address, and a hashed password (we never see the password itself).
- Anything you add to your profile: Minecraft username and bio.
- The banners you share, with their name and Minecraft version.
- Your votes, comments, follows, and reports.
- For each signed-in session: a session token and technical details of the connection it was created from.
- When you create an account, share a design, or post a comment: technical details of the connection and device used, kept alongside that content for as long as it exists. We keep this so that abuse can be traced and, where the law requires it, passed to the authorities. It is never shown on the site.
Your username, profile, shared banners, and comments are public. Your email address, password, sessions, reports, and who you follow are private and are never shown to other members.
Cookies
We set one cookie: the session cookie that keeps you signed in. That is all.
Bot protection
The sign-up, login, and password reset forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a request comes from a person. To do that, Cloudflare processes technical details of your connection under its own privacy policy. We do not receive anything from it beyond a pass or fail.
We use your email address to let you sign in and reset your password. Password reset emails are delivered by Brevo, an email service provider, which processes your address only to deliver that message. We do not send newsletters and we do not share your address with anyone else.
Deleting your account
To delete your account, contact us from the email address you registered with and we will take care of it. We do not remove your account row outright, because shared designs are permanent and other members may link to them. Instead the account is anonymised:
- Your username and email are replaced with placeholder values, and your email becomes free to register again.
- Your password and all your sessions are removed, so nobody can sign in as you again.
- Your Minecraft username and bio are cleared.
- Your shared designs, votes, comments, and follows remain, shown under a “Deleted Member” name with no link to a profile.
- The record described above stays with the content it belongs to.
Who can see your data
Only the site owner has access to the database. We do not sell or share personal data. We will disclose it only where the law requires us to, for example in response to a valid request from the authorities about abusive content.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
